Nathan Eckel is an Instructional Designer and former entrepreneur with interests in adult learning theory, economic development, and the Arts.

His undergraduate work at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Music solidified skills as an interpreter, performer, and advocate of historic music.

Refusing to perpetuate stereotypes of "classical" music, in 2004 Nathan launched IronWorks > the Piano Series to extend music appreciation for audiences in rural Pennsylvania with the help of local historians.

In 1999 Nathan developed Music Matters, a for-profit monthly event serving healthcare residents in over 100 locations in three states.

Instructional Design has helped reconcile Nathan's disparate interests while realizing his goals of volunteerism, artistry, and philanthropy.
